STAY INSIDE
No, it's not a command to close the windows and shuts the doors and stay in your physical home. It's an invitation to remain unwaveringly in your true home, the inner sanctuary of aware Being-ness.
So much attention is usually focussed on the objects that fill our inner space ... the thoughts and emotions, opinions and beliefs that color our psyche's landscape. So much attention is given to the experience we are having through our sensory organs ... and our interpretation of this experience as something that makes us feel good about ourselves and about life or something that makes us feel bad about ourselves and about life. We are constantly going "out of ourselves" to derive our identity from our experiences. Even the experiences in our psyche are "outside of us", in the sense that we have moved away from the awareness of Being that is our true ground and our true nature.
To stay inside is to remain as the soft-focussed awareness that is here prior to this awareness getting funneled into the content of our experience. This open awareness - that includes the content but is not limited to the content - is always here. It just gets obscured by the focus on the content. Open awareness - which is the same as natural Being - is your true home, your true sanctuary. It's the only place or space which offers unending nourishment and goodness. It's the only place or space which no-one and no-thing can harm or take away from you.
To stay inside is to recognize and abide in true nature, always. In all circumstances it is available to you. In all experiences, it is here unequivocally. And only you have access to this. Only you can make the choice to rest so much deeper within than the surface narratives fed to you by your own mind or by society's beliefs.
To stay inside is so absolutely vital amidst the chaos and confusion of our times. The immensity of the world's turbulence is a catalyst for going insane ... or going inside. Going inside is not a hiding place, not a denial or avoidance, but an opening to the possibility of awakening out of the slumber of lost identity. It's a remembrance of who you really are, who you always were and always will be. And in this, you rise up into your true power.
