DANCING AS EMPTINESS
When everything around you is moving, when the world is spinning, when activity is everywhere ... be like a hollow bamboo.
Let it all pass through you like the wind ... be like a hollow bamboo, just bending and swaying gently yet totally rooted in the depth of quietness.
Be unflappable ... neither running around on high alert to control the uncontrollable, nor freezing in fright because you are helpless in the face of things.
Stop the agitation, by remembering your true nature. You are emptiness itself, clothed in a light membrane that appears as the body-self. But you true nature is openness, just like a hollow bamboo.
Don't give your allegiance to the restlessness of your mind. Go in to your depth, and align with the silent stillness here. The world is not controllable, and only you suffer when you flap around like a headless chicken. You are the one creating an internal environment of stress and an external environment of problems for yourself.
Relax, my friend. Be loose and natural, elegant and at ease with the movement of life. Be like a hollow bamboo ... without resistance to the winds of change, yet long-lived in the eternal now.
And now you will hear the wind as the song of God, not the unwelcome noise of life. And now you will dance in the play of God, not struggle with the inevitable coming and going of things.
My friend, remember yourself. You are emptiness dancing.
Such a beautiful reminder!! thank you thank you
